Horror Mania

Cover illustration I created for Horror Mania, the cult Italian magazine dedicated to horror cinema. The piece reinterprets the classic mummy archetype with a cinematic, theatrical staging — a clawed hand bursting out of the shadows of an ancient tomb, lit by warm torchlight against deep blacks. I aimed to evoke the golden age of Universal monster movies while keeping a modern, painterly finish that would feel at home on a contemporary newsstand.
